1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This Warranty Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the limited warranty coverage provided by BrokenGarageDoorRepairdotCom LLC (“BGDR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to customers (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) who purchase or receive garage door repair, replacement, or installation services from BGDR.
This Agreement governs all services and parts installed by BGDR. By paying an invoice, scheduling service, or accepting any work performed by BGDR, the Customer acknowledges, understands, and agrees to all terms of this Warranty Agreement and BGDR’s general Terms and Conditions available at https://brokengaragedoorrepair.com.
This document describes the Limited Warranty provided by BGDR under the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §2301 et seq.), Minnesota, and federal law.
2. COVERED WARRANTIES
All warranties described herein are Limited Warranties under federal law.
a. Spring Replacement – 10-Year Limited Warranty
Covers torsion or extension springs installed by BGDR.
Includes parts and labor coverage for spring breakage or failure from normal use.
Coverage requires that the Customer receive a BGDR professional service or tune-up at least once every 24 months.
Failure to meet this service requirement voids the warranty in full.
b. Cable Replacement – 5-Year Labor-Only Warranty
Covers labor only for cable replacements performed by BGDR.
Applies to workmanship-related issues, re-tensioning, or reattachment.
Does not include replacement of cable parts after initial installation.
Warranty applies under normal residential conditions only.
Warranty void if another service provider performs work on the system, or if no BGDR service occurs within 24 months.
c. Nylon Roller Replacement – 5-Year Parts and Labor Warranty
Covers parts and labor for nylon rollers installed by BGDR.
Warranty is valid only if a BGDR service or tune-up is completed no more than 24 months apart from the last recorded service.
Failure to meet the service requirement voids the warranty in full.
Excludes rollers damaged by collision, misuse, or track impact.
d. Opener Installation – 5-Year Limited Warranty
Applies to new openers installed by BGDR.
Covers motor, drive mechanism, and logic board for failure under normal use.
Excludes backup batteries, Wi-Fi modules, bulbs, and user damage.
Requires that the opener receive a BGDR inspection or tune-up every 24 months to remain valid.
Manufacturer warranties for openers or components apply in addition to this Agreement, and BGDR will assist with coordination of manufacturer claims when applicable.
e. Other Covered Parts – 5-Year Labor-Only Warranty
Applies to all other components or parts not listed above.
Covers labor only for workmanship-related issues caused by BGDR installation.
Does not cover replacement parts, materials, or manufacturer defects.
Service interval requirement (every 24 months) applies.
f. General Workmanship – 1-Year Coverage
All work performed by BGDR is warranted against workmanship defects for one (1) year from the date of service.
BGDR will return to correct any verified workmanship issues at no additional charge.
g. Excluded Parts – 1-Year Workmanship Only
The following items are not covered under any extended warranty but are protected under the 1-year workmanship warranty:
Decorative or cosmetic hardware
Weather seals and insulation materials
Remotes, keypads, and transmitters
Paint finishes, coatings, or sealants
Light bulbs, batteries, and surge-related components
These items are covered only for installation defects identified within one year of service.
3. WARRANTY CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
a. Mandatory Service Interval Requirement
Warranties exceeding two (2) years are strictly conditional on the Customer receiving a BGDR professional service appointment or tune-up at least once every 24 months from the original installation or last service date.
Failure to complete these service intervals voids the warranty in full.
BGDR maintains service records for verification purposes.
Service and tune-up fees required under this warranty are reasonably related to ongoing maintenance for safe operation and do not constitute additional consideration for warranty coverage.
b. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by neglect, abuse, tampering, fire, flood, impact, or natural disasters
Work or modification performed by anyone other than BGDR
Cosmetic or noise-related issues not affecting function
Failures due to electrical surges or power supply issues
Lack of maintenance or failure to schedule required service intervals
Damage from commercial use or excessive loads
c. Non-Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original Customer named on the BGDR invoice.
It cannot be transferred to a new property owner or subsequent buyer and terminates immediately upon change of ownership or property sale.
d. Warranty Voidance
All warranties become immediately void if:
Service intervals exceed 24 months
Non-BGDR personnel perform any repair, adjustment, or modification
The door, opener, or hardware is used outside of its intended residential purpose
Payment for original service has not been made in full
4. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
To initiate a warranty claim:
Contact BGDR within seven (7) calendar days of discovering the issue.
Provide your original invoice number or job reference.
Allow BGDR access to inspect the system and verify eligibility.
If the issue qualifies, BGDR will repair or replace covered components at no charge.
If the issue is non-warrantable, a standard service fee will apply.
BGDR will respond to all warranty claims within a reasonable time, not exceeding thirty (30) days.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, BGDR’s total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the original service.
BGDR shall not be liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages, including loss of use, income, or property, arising from the use or inability to use the product or service.
This limitation does not apply to bodily injury, property damage, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
6. IMPLIED WARRANTIES
To the extent permitted by law, the duration of any implied warranty (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) is limited to the express warranty period described herein.
Some jurisdictions, including Minnesota, may not allow such limitations—so certain restrictions may not apply.
7. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising from or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved first through binding arbitration or mediation conducted according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Consumers may choose to bring a small claims action in their own Minnesota county court as permitted by law.
Each party shall bear its own costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By paying any invoice issued by BGDR or accepting service from BGDR, the Customer:
Acknowledges receipt and opportunity to review this Warranty Agreement and BGDR’s Terms and Conditions,
Affirms that they have read and understood the contents of this document,
Agrees that payment constitutes acceptance of all warranty terms and conditions in full.
All customers may review and print this warranty before any purchase at https://brokengaragedoorrepair.com/warranty. Printed copies are available upon request. BGDR does not require customers to waive any mandatory statutory rights.

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
This Warranty Agreement complies with Federal and Minnesota consumer protection standards.
Your continued use of BGDR’s services or payment for any completed work serves as your binding agreement to these terms.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This warranty constitutes the entire agreement regarding service warranties between BGDR and the Customer and supersedes all previous warranty agreements or statements, oral or written.
